Overview

ChatrFinance is a real-time financial dashboard for Persian-speaking users: live prices for gold, currencies, cryptocurrencies, global stocks, commodities and forex, with TradingView charts and a Persian news and analyst system. I owned the backend and the mobile apps.

Backend — Node.js, Express, MongoDB

RESTful APIs for all platform data.
A WebSocket server (Socket.io) streaming prices to every client.
Integrations with 5+ external market data APIs, normalised into one schema.
MongoDB schema and indexes designed for high-frequency reads.
Cron jobs for scheduled price refresh and cache invalidation.

Clients

Flutter app for iOS and Android with REST + WebSocket for live updates.
Web client in plain JavaScript with embedded TradingView charts and real-time DOM updates.

Operations

Deployed on a Linux server with PM2 and Apache, monitored in production.

What I'd do differently today

The fan-out of prices to thousands of sockets is exactly the workload Go handles best; today I'd put a small Go service with Redis pub/sub in front of the feeds and keep Node.js for the CRUD API.
